What is accreditation?

Accreditation is formal, third-party recognition that an organization is competent to perform specific tasks - the work for which they are accredited.

It represents the competence and independence of conformity assessment bodies, allowing users to choose the testing, calibration and certification services that best suit their needs.

Accreditation can be voluntary or mandated by government. There are also provisions in Mongolian law that only an accredited body should conduct conformity assessment.
