Benefits of Accreditation

Mongolian National Authority for Accreditation (MNAS) provides accreditation services in accordance with standards recognized in Mongolia and around the world.

Representing Mongolia, Mongolian National Authority for Accreditation (MNAS) is a member of three major international accreditation organization (ILAC, IAF, APAC).

 Membership date:

  • In 2004, full member of Asia-Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) /PAC and APLAC under the old name /
  • In 2007, member of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC)
  • In 2009, member of International Accreditation Forum (IAF)

Accordingly, joined following accreditation schemes:

  • In 2012, Testing and Calibration Laboratory on Agreement of Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC).
  • In 2016, Inspection body
  • In 2017, Product and Management system certification (Quality management system, Environmental management systems, Food safety management systems) on Agreement of Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC).

It also joined the ILAC Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) in June 2012, the ILAC / APLAC MRA.

The main criterion for accession of these international organizations to the Mutual Recognition Agreement is that the accreditation body (MNAS) must meet the requirements of the following standard that ISO/IEC 17011:2017 “Conformity assessment. Requirements for accreditation bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies”

Accreditation cooperation organizations periodically perform the peer evaluation of the compliance of the activities of accreditation bodies of member countries with the requirements of the above international standards.
